Mobile Kitchen Island

The island I purchased offers a surprising amount of storage. It took about 5 1/2 hours to assemble. I think there must be 1,000 parts and pieces - no exaggeration! ALL needed parts were there - screws, casters, all panels, allen wrench - EVERYTHING! I knew that for the price this would not be HIGH quality, but the quality is still good. I love the way it looks, too. It actually make the kitchen look bigger because there is less clutter since we have a bit more storage now. The only issue is that one of the locking casters doesn't lock.

Follow instructions to the T. The only thing I had to redo was the drawer railings. (upside down)

Originally thought they messed up the delivery but it comes in two separate boxes and they came different days. No biggy.

Great... after 4 hours of build time

Took me 4 hours to build (I'd say I'm decent at these sort of things). Do NOT get this if you don't own a drill. I can't imagine assembling this without one. Everything is super sturdy except the drawer floors are super flimsy and I wouldn't put and substantial weight in them (more than 5-10 pounds). Same with the back panels which I could easily see breaking if you are using it in bar mode and somebody kicks the back even relatively hard. For the price it is a really good item, bit just know those are the two main breaking points. Besides those two weak points and the incredible setup time, the island is awesome, durable, and looks good!

A little confused

One of the boxes was delivered on the soonest date given which was great. A couple of things to make it easier for the next person.1) The first box that arrived did not indicate that there was more than 1 box in the order, the second box had 2 of 2 on it. If you would state when ordered that it would ship in two boxes that would be helpful. 2) The directions were too small, I wear trifocal glasses and it was too small even for me to read. I had to use a magnifying glass. Now that it is together, It seems to be very solid it did take some time to put it together but not too bad all in all.

Beautiful and elegant

The kitchen island is beautiful and elegant to place in any space in the house, assembling it requires time and the pieces came with certain details, I imagine that some sheets suffered during their transfer.

Instructions could be better

The parts were well labeled, except the side of the draws. Only one of each type had the numeric label. This did lead to some minor confusion adding to the assembly time. The illustrations on the assembly of the drawer slides was inadequate. It took extra time and a trial fitting to be sure they were screwed to the correct side. The casters are large, but made of plastic and tend to be noisy when rolling. There was a small abrasion on one of the cabinet doors. One positive that I was especially pleased about was that the cam lock nuts were steel stampings formed into the correct shape. I have had previous product that used cam lock nuts that were zinc die casting which were easy to bream. All the pre-drilled screw holes were properly located. It took about 5 hours to assemble. There were only three times that I needed help to hold something for me. I did use a drill driver on some of the screws, but never completely. I always finished with hand tightening because some of the parts appeared to be composite board.

Perfect addition to my small apartment!

This product was very easy to assemble (though it took a while). There is plenty of storage space and the materials are quite sturdy. The only complaint I have is that the second box took about a week longer to arrive than the first box.

Perfect!.

I live in a small apartment with very minimal storage and limited room space. This is just the right size and adds some pizzaz. Deep drawers, adjustable shelves; has helped tremendously with storage and more surface space. Love it!

Super cute cart with ample storage!

The cart has been super helpful for food prep. Our family members are 5'7"-6'5" and the cart is the perfect height. It has great storage and the side for seating is ample. The coloring of the 2 sides of the top were a little off, but not so glaring that we send it back. Super cute cart!

Good buy!

Don't mind my ugly floor we are remodeling! I love this island with lockable wheels!! Only wish it came painted nicer and you have to manipulate the doors because they are not even! I think they need to reprogram their machine that make the hinge wholes because they are definitely off and its frustrating! Took about 4 hours with one person.

I'd like to rate it higher but the materials seem a bit cheap. It was difficult to get the doors to line up and close properly.

Love it

It took me a couple of days to put together (lots of distractions though). Some parts came damage or broken, I had wood glue so fixed those. Also ran out of screws which was annoying, so had to do some creative thinking. But love the finished product, use it daily, very happy with it :).

Definitely Mass-Produced furniture

From a distance, it looks nice. But when you look closely, you can see the low quality of mass-production: a few spots of too lightly-applied spray paint, some nicks in the counter top surface where the wood panels join up, one of the structurally-important panels for the drawer attachments came off right from the box, and the drop-leaf table part sits crooked. You can also tell they used super thin and flimsy panels when they could, like the 3 backside panels. So long as you don't kick your feet while sitting, it shouldn't break. Drawer sides only go about half-way up, and the bottoms are the super thin wood panels. I would NOT recommend silverware or heavy cutlery in those drawers without reinforcing the bottoms. Side attachment spice rack shelf is also super flimsy on the bottom, and I would NOT recommend using pump dispensers (like coffee creamers or syrups) while they're on there unless you add your own reinforcement to the shelf.
