Descent quality but legs are not good. They're attached to body with three small rivets, thus quite unstable. Both back legs terrible. May have to re-engineer/reattach using other hardware. For price, not thrilled.
I have had this for 27 months and over the last month or so, the flame has gotten lower as others have mentioned. Mine stays outside and is always connected to the gas line and I live 100' from the ocean, so salt water moisture is an issue and the exterior has a lot of rust spots-even though it is stainless steel.
I am writing this review because not only is this a very good desktop BBQ, but the seller Giantex is an excellent provider as to responding to a contact that I wrote to them. They immediately responded several separate times with resolutions to the issues. Very customer orientated and wanted to help immediately if there is an issue that needs attention
Bought this to replace a more conventional gas grill on a stand, that had rusted out. I like the fact that this grill appears to be entirely made from stainless steel, and seems to be unlikely to rust. It's not huge, but we only cook for two people, so it's adequate. Like all grills, it's a pain to clean.
Shopped for quality and finally found it all in this brand! Cooked on it the first time today and it was rather windy. No problems at all. Great manufacturing and wish I had known of it before I bought my old one that lasted only two summers, before the propane came up between the control knobs and the main fire box.
My family tailgated the Rams Sofi season opener last Saturday, and many people gave us the thumbs up for this bbq grill, I paired it up with a Blue Rhino propane tank. Everything you need is in the box. It self started with just 1 turn, and the drip pan caught all the grease. I might use this at home, it seems very reliable and fast cooking. I wish they would sell a carrying case but after waiting for grill to cool down, just used a large trash bag to keep any grease from getting on the van. We will see how long it last, but the construction is solid, legs fold down to make it more compact.
I bought this for a family vacation in wild fire country, as I didn't want to use charcoal or anything that couldn't be extinguished quickly. The BBQ worked well and cooked all kinds of dinners from burgers to salmon. I highly recommend. In fact we bought a second one for a family member on the trip that really like using it.
Easy setup, easy clean up, very consistent temperature, easy to store in Rv. Got many compliments from other campers in our group about how nice clean appearance and large cooking area for such a compact unit.
This grill performed extremely well during its first use. I was cooking some large burgers for a party of 7 and had the grill filled with food. It handled the task flawlessly. The auto ignition on the control valves work very well and the burners have a nice range of flame for cooking a variety of foods with its (2) 10,000 BTU burners. The grill is well designed, attractive and comes complete with hose, regulator and adapter for 20# cylinder. It also has a built in stainless steel drip pan for catching grease and food particles! The only thing that should be added is a gauge on the hose to monitor the propane tank fuel capacity.
Nice little grill. I use for home grilling. Is cute and cooks like The little engine that could." If you desire a spotless inside, it is difficult to clean around burners at the bottom in spite of removing grill and burner protectors. Other than that, I am pleased with my purchase.
Bought this the summer of 2018 for our new Airstream camper. Have been using it every camping trip since. I use it for the summer, get home, open the top and spray oven cleaner all over it and hose it off. Cleans up perfectly. Cooking.... I cook everything on this. Use one side only quite a bit. I cook using a wok, big Calphalon pan, or grill on the grates. I slow cool large pots of veggies. I wrap squash in aluminum foil and put it on the side that is turned off and close the lid, comes out perfect. When this baby has reached its end, I will by another one. You can't go wrong.
I like this BBQ, it's small enough to fit in my RV, but big enough for 10 burger patties!! Only thing missing is a warming rack... Find I do miss that for pre-heating buns!!! I added a handle on each side for easier handling. I store the BBQ in the box it was shipped in, The handles make it easier to pick it up out of the box, also helps if you need to pick it straight up to move it while it's still hot!! I also put a bar across for the two side legs, when I pull on the bar, both legs come down together, makes it a bit more stable...
We bought this grill to travel with us in our 5th Wheel RV. First of all it's light weight and easy to store. I purchased a longer hose to connect to my 30 lb propane tank in my RV. My first issue is there is very uneven heating. The grill is hot at the very back over the heat diffusers and much cooler at the front. Second, even thought the thermometer says the grill is heated to nearly 600 degrees, it does not sear the meat. This is my first portable propane grill so I can't say how it stacks up to the competition but I would not buy this unit again. There has to be something better!
Purchased this grill over three years ago. Since then it has sat outside, exposed to the weather of SW Washington State, and been used on a weekly basis. EVERYTHING on the grill still works and NO parts have worn out or needed replacing. All the metal is stainless steel, including grill and burner covers, and it has withstood both the heat and the elements. One control knob has cosmetic damage from weather, and the temperature control frequently has moisture inside it that hasn't affected its operation. Thanks for a quality product that has lasted! If it died tomorrow I would buy it again.
